Electronic Help for Beginners

Or Ohms Law

W = Watt (Power)

I   = Current

E  = Volt (EMF)

R  = Resistance

Most electronic and electrical formulas is based on Ohms Law.

I.e. You have a 60 watt lamp and your supply voltage is 220V~ at 50 Hz.

To find the current, the formula is 60 divide by 220 = .272 amp or 272 mA.

The second triangle

The current = 2 amp

The resistance = 50 Ohm.

2 X 50 = 100 Volt
